Today, 11/14/2019, a "Dirty Larry" joined the "Pale Larry" at the Bryan Stock Trail Ponds in Casper, WY. Luckily, the "Dirty Larry" is not a challenging identification! (Forgive my silliness, these are both Glaucous Gulls, Larus hyperboreus.)
Look how much larger the 1st winter bird is than the 3rd winter. It is possible the younger bird is a male and the older bird is a female.
The older bird is still in the image above, however, it is laying down behind the two definitive plumaged HERGs.
Compare the size of the Glaucous Gull to the Herring Gull. The Herring Gull is the fifth bird in from the right.
